Islamabad: In line with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s statement, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has said that several cases of fraud and cheating against property tycoon Malik Riaz and others are under investigation, people should not invest in Bahria Town’s Dubai project, the government is contacting the UAE government for the extradition of Malik Riaz through legal means. It may be recalled that property tycoon Malik Riaz had refused to become a promissory note witness against the former prime minister.
A statement issued by NAB received by Dawn TV said that NAB has strong evidence of encroachment on public and private lands against Bahria Town owner Malik Riaz.
According to NAB, Malik Riaz and his associates seized lands in Karachi, Takht Padi, Rawalpindi and New Murree in the name of Bahria Town. Malik Riaz has illegally seized government and private land and established housing societies without permission, defrauding people of billions of rupees.
NAB claimed that Malik Riaz seized lands in Peshawar and Jamshoro in the name of Bahria Town. He illegally seized lands without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and established housing societies.
The NAB spokesperson said that Malik Riaz and his associates are receiving huge amounts of money from people through fraud. He is currently a fugitive from justice in an NCA case.
