Islamabad: Founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has further reacted to his conviction in the 190 million pound case, saying that the government and the investigation agencies should open the so-called ‘sealed envelope’ and tell the public what is written in it so that milk can be milk and water can be water.
It should be noted that on January 17, the court convicted Imran Khan in the 190 million pound reference and sentenced him to 14 years in prison and his wife Bushra Bibi to 7 years in prison.
In a statement released on the social networking website ‘X’, he said that when the purpose of the case is simply to spread propaganda and lie morning and evening, nothing can be made public.
According to the post, Imran Khan, while talking to lawyers and the media at Adiala Jail, said that dragging housewives into politics and damaging their dignity is against our social, moral and religious traditions.
He said that Bushri Begum has nothing to do with politics, and targeting her just to put me under pressure is condemnable, Bushri Bibi endured hardships only because of being my wife, dragging women into politics and targeting them is the height of moral degradation.
The former prime minister said that I should make it clear once again that all PTI workers, including me, would prefer to spend time in prison rather than accept the dictatorship of Yahya Khan Part II.
He said that I would not compromise on the struggle for true freedom no matter how much pressure they put on me, adding that the Hamood-ur-Rehman Commission report clearly states that Yahya Khan betrayed the country to save his seat.
Imran Khan alleged that human rights are being violated in Pakistan under a dictatorship behind the scenes in the name of democracy, the worst mental and physical torture has been inflicted on those imprisoned in military custody, and no one is still allowed to meet the detainees, which is a strong violation of human rights and the constitution.
The founder of PTI said that compromises on principles and ideologies are made by those who live under the shadow of fear, I fear nothing except Allah, the power of faith does not allow a person to bow down, only those who lack faith bow down.
Imran Khan said that the PTI’s struggle aims to uphold democracy, the rule of law and constitution, an independent judiciary and media, and the protection of fundamental civil rights, and we will succeed in this because this is the right, adding that I will struggle for it until my last breath.
He said that the decision of the Al-Qadir Trust has made a mockery of Pakistan’s justice system in the world, it is a failed attempt to distort the facts crudely, the Al-Qadir Trust is neither Bilawal House nor Avenfield House, it is a school to enlighten students with the Seerat-un-Nabi (peace be upon him).
Imran Khan alleged that it is clear that the owner of Bahria Town, Malik Riaz, was threatened here, given that his son bought a property worth 9 billion in London for 18 billion.
He further said that the prosecution has not been able to prove to date that this is money laundering, while I and my wife were indicted, who did not benefit financially by a single rupee.
He raised the question that if I was accused of being a public office holder, then on whose instructions was Bushra Bibi, a housewife, convicted? Another ridiculous aspect of this decision is that Al-Qadir University was taken into government custody.
Imran Khan said that does this group of demanding fools not even know that this is not government property. Under which law can the government take possession of the trust’s property?
He claimed that the government and the investigation agencies can open the so-called ‘sealed envelope’, open it and tell the public what is written in it so that there can be milk and water, but when the purpose of the case is merely to spread propaganda and lie morning and evening, nothing can be made public.
‘Black Day will be observed across the country on February 8’
Imran Khan said that Black Day would be observed across the country on February 8, on that day the mandate of the Pakistani people was badly tampered with, the mandate of the people was looted and a fake government of Form 47 was imposed.
He said that in this regard, I instructed Ali Amin Gandapur to gather in Peshawar in convoys from all over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on February 8 and protest.
Imran Khan said that I also instructed my legal community, including Insaf Lawyers Farm and other wings, to protest vigorously on that day. The members of the assembly and party office bearers of all provinces, as well as people of every school of thought, should celebrate this day of insult to the people as a black day in full force.
The founder of PTI, while reiterating his demands, said that we are making a legitimate demand for the establishment of a judicial commission. The government does not want the establishment of a transparent judicial commission because it is itself involved in May 9 and November 26. Until the perpetrators of these incidents are punished, it is impossible to bring stability to the country.
