London: London Police has decided not to take action against anyone on the complaint filed by the Pakistani High Commission alleging that Justice (retd) Qazi Faez Isa and the High Commission’s diplomatic vehicle were attacked by the Pakistan Movement outside the Middle Temple.
Police sources told Dawn TV that this incident does not meet the requirements of necessary evidence to file charges against anyone, hence the complaint has been closed.
According to the report, the City of London Police found insufficient evidence against 28 PTI workers named in the incident. It is worth noting that the Pakistani High Commission had complained to the police after the Foreign Office directed it.
They had asked the police to review the footage of the alleged attack and find those involved. A source familiar with the developments in the case said that the police have told the High Commission that there are no sufficient grounds to take any action against anyone, hence the case has been closed.
Former Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s car was stopped by a group of PTI protesters outside the Middle Temple when he was leaving the venue after being called to the bench and becoming a master bencher, the footage of which went viral, in which Qazi Faez Isa and his wife were shown being covered by PTI supporters on the car.
