London: King Charles recited a few Arabic phrases in welcoming the Emir of Qatar.
British King Charles welcomed the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamdan Al Thani in Arabic during the reception at Buckingham Palace.
Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamdan Al Thani is in the UK on an official visit at the invitation of King Charles III. King Charles welcomed the guest in Arabic words at the state dinner held at Buckingham Palace.
Two fighter jets of the British Royal Air Force entered British airspace with the Emir of Qatar’s plane to welcome and celebrate.
While welcoming the Emir of Qatar at the state dinner, King Charles began by formally saying ‘As-Salaam Alaikum’, everyone was surprised to see him speaking in Arabic.
After a few sentences in English, King Charles looked at the Emir of Qatar and said in Arabic, “Welcome back to the UK, this is your second home.”
It should be noted that on the occasion of the official visit of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to the UK, the two countries have pledged to double their joint funding to $100 million to address humanitarian crises and international development initiatives.
