London: A woman in the UK has received a job application sent back 48 years ago.
In January 1976, 70-year-old Tizzy Hudson, from the British county of Lincolnshire, applied for a motorcycle stunt rider job (her favorite job) that never reached its destination.
The post office informed me that the application could not reach the intended address as it was left in a drawer of the post office.
Despite the application getting lost in the post office, the woman’s risky career did not take off and she got a job that took her around the world.
Expressing surprise at the return of the request, Tizzy Hudson said that she was always concerned why there was no response. Now it is known why the answer did not come.
Above the letter was a handwritten inscription ‘Late Delivery by Stan’s Post Office. Found backward in a drawer. Only with a delay of almost 50 years.
Tizzy Hudson said she did not know who returned the letter to her or how she found out its address.
She said that she remembers the time when she was sitting in her flat in London typing this request.
