ISLAMABAD: The Federal Police has registered a case of terrorism against twenty lawyers including PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar for burning the effigy of Chief Justice Qazi Fayzaisi outside the Supreme Court.
According to Dawn TV, the SHO of the Islamabad Police Station Secretariat registered a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act and serious provisions against Latif Khosa, Shibli Faraz, Salman Akram Raja, Mustafin Kazmi, Niazullah Niazi and Azam. Swati has been nominated.
Apart from this, Naseem Haider Panjhota, Ansar Advocate, Barrister Gauhar, and Abdullah Wazir have also been named in the FIR. It is stated in the text of the case that the protesters burnt the effigy of the head of the government institution and threatened them with serious consequences while resisting the police officers and officials.
It is said in the text of the case that the protestors raised slogans that they would not allow the decision to be made and would not allow them to work, while the protestors also blocked the roads by burning tires. More than 100 unidentified people who hoisted PTI flags have also been named in the case.
