Riyadh: The Saudi court has sentenced the former Director of Public Security, Lieutenant General Khalid Bin Qarr, to 20 years in prison and a fine of 1 million riyals for corruption and bribery.
A Saudi court has sentenced the former director of public security to a total of 20 years in prison and a fine of 1 million riyals for manipulation of public funds through abuse of authority, forgery, and accepting bribes.
The court sentenced Lt. Gen. Khalid bin Qar al-Harbi to 10 years in prison for forgery and bribery, and another 10 years in prison for abuse of power.
Apart from this, the fine amount of 10 lakhs imposed by the court will be deposited in the government treasury.
According to the verdict, Khalid al-Harbi will be deprived of everything he has illegally acquired, while the bribery items such as gifts received during his employment will also be confiscated, including agricultural land.
