Islamabad: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is expected to visit Pakistan next month.
Diplomatic sources told Dawn TV that Anwar Ibrahim is expected to visit Pakistan in the first week of October, along with the Malaysian Prime Minister, a high-level delegation will also arrive in Pakistan.
According to Dawn sources, this visit of any Prime Minister of Malaysia is happening after five years, former Prime Minister Mahathir Muhammad visited Pakistan in March 2019 during the Tehreek-e-Insaf regime, while this will be Anwar Ibrahim’s first visit to Pakistan.
Diplomatic sources say that in this visit, many agreements and memorandums of understanding will be signed between the two countries, while Anwar Ibrahim will meet with the Pakistani leadership including Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
According to Dawn sources, mutual trade and investment will be discussed during the visit, while the Palestine issue will also be discussed specially. Both countries are in favor of a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue.
