KARACHI: Dawn TV news anchor and contributor Abdullah Hassan died in a horrific traffic accident near Awari Tower.
According to the police, the car collided with the footpath near Shahrah Faisal Awari Tower, as a result of which a person was seriously injured and was shifted to Jinnah Hospital where he could not survive.
The person who died in the car accident was identified as Abdullah Hassan, who has worked as a news anchor in various private TV channels.
According to SSP South Sajid Saduzai, the police have taken the car into custody. Initially, the police say that the incident occurred due to speeding, which is being investigated further.
Governor Sindh Kamran Tesori, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Senior Minister of Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon, and Central Spokesperson of People’s Party Shazia Murri have expressed their grief and condolences to the family of Dawn TV news anchor and contributor Abdullah Hassan in an accident.
Sharjeel Memon said that the services of Abdullah Hassan in the field of journalism will be remembered, he is with the family of the late Abdullah Hassan in this hour of sorrow.
