Rawalpindi: Former Prime Minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that the meeting of August 22 was postponed at the request of the establishment.
In an informal conversation with journalists after hearing the Tosha Khana case and the Al-Qadir Trust case in Adiala Jail on Monday, Imran Khan said that Azam Swati came to me at seven in the morning and said that the establishment had sent him.
Azam Swati said that the establishment has requested to postpone the meeting for the sake of the country. The establishment had guaranteed that they would provide full facilities for the September 8 rally. On this message, the meeting of August 22 was postponed for the sake of Pakistan.
He said that the message was given that on the one hand, there is a cricket match, on the other hand, there is a protest of religious parties in Islamabad, and chaos may spread in the country. It was guaranteed that NOC would be given for the meeting and facilities would be provided.
The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said regarding the PTI rally held in Sangjani yesterday that containers were placed and barriers were erected to stop the rally and then they were asked to end the rally at seven o’clock.
Imran Khan criticized the ruling coalition and said that through the NAB amendments, money laundering has been declared legitimate by giving NRO, now no one can even touch them.
He said that if I had to seek relief from the cases, I would have fled the country. I was told to keep quiet for three years and the cases would be over.
The former prime minister said regarding his cases that today Bushra Bibi should have gone home after bail. The decision of the Supreme Court has come, and now it has become a reference.
“I have never seen the mighty fall so low. This is a false reference.” After the NAB amendments, not a single person is in jail except my wife. NAB itself said that Al-Qadir is functioning properly. NAB amendments have now become a law, this is a legal matter.
