Amina Baloch, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the European Union, has been appointed Secretary of Foreign Affairs

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s ambassador to Belgium (Brussels) and the European Union, Amina Baloch, has been appointed as the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, effective September 11.

In the notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat of the Establishment Division, it has been stated that Amina Baloch, a BS-22 grade officer of the Foreign Service of Pakistan, has been transferred and appointed as the Secretary of Foreign Affairs.

The notification stated that Amina Baloch is currently Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union and her appointment as Foreign Secretary will take effect on September 11, 2024.

Currently, Muhammad Cyrus Qazi is serving as the Foreign Secretary, he assumed his duties on 17 August 2023.
