Zurich: The Palestinian resistance group Hamas has been banned by Switzerland, accusing it of terrorism.
Regarding the ban on Hamas, the Swiss government has also approved a draft law, which will be sent to the parliament for approval soon, with prison terms or fines for violation.
According to local media, behind this decision to ban Hamas are Swiss Jewish organizations SIG and PLJS, which have forced the Swiss government to take this decision.
Analysts say that after this move, Switzerland’s mediating role in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will end.
