London: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy and discussed regional issues including bilateral relations.
According to the spokesperson of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy, in the meeting, all aspects of bilateral relations were reviewed and regional issues of common interest were discussed.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s determination to enhance the close relationship between Pakistan and the United Kingdom to a better strategic partnership. Also reiterating the importance of the UK’s strong partnership, he appreciated the role of British Pakistanis in further strengthening the cordial relationship between the two countries.
Foreign Secretary David Lemmy congratulated Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Pakistan’s election as a member of the United Nations Security Council, reiterating Britain’s support for Pakistan.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said he is keen to work with the UK to tackle climate change, create opportunities for youth, promote trade and investment.
