The British and European Civil Aviation Authority is currently reviewing the resumption of PIA flights and in this regard, they have requested documents from Pakistan’s Ministry of Aviation regarding the fulfillment of various conditions.

Disappointed that Pakistani officials are issuing statements regarding the resumption of flights even though they are still finalizing the matter.
The Pakistani authorities are in constant touch with the relevant officials, especially in Europe, the UK, Canada, and the US, and are taking several important policy decisions to fulfill the conditions imposed by them.
British officials have objected to premature statements by Pakistani officials about the resumption of flights.

In March this year, Federal Minister for Aviation and Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif also claimed that PIA flights to the UK would be restored soon.
Apart from this, in June, Minister of State for Finance Ali Pervaiz Malik while addressing the National Assembly said that these flights will be restored in two to three months.
However, last week, when Pakistani civil aviation officials participated in an online meeting about this, British officials objected to Pakistani ministers and other officials not making public announcements about the resumption of flights.
