ISLAMABAD: Chief of Balochistan National Party (Mengal) Sardar Akhtar Mengal has announced his resignation from the membership of the National Assembly.
While holding a press conference outside the National Assembly on Tuesday, he said, “If this assembly does not listen to our voice, there is no point in sitting in this assembly.”
He said that it is probably our weakness that we could not explain. I am disappointed with this state and all institutions. Our tongues are locked, we are disappointed.
Sardar Akhtar Mengal sided with PDM and allies in the no-confidence motion and entered the House in the 2024 elections from NA-261.
Earlier, Sardar Akhtar Mengal was a member of the National Assembly in 2018 and was initially part of the Tehreek-e-Insaf government under an agreement but later parted ways.
