London: Britain has announced a partial ban on arms exports to Israel, it has also been decided to suspend 30 licenses.
Britain has decided to suspend 30 out of 350 arms export licenses to Israel, the suspension of licenses will affect the supply of drones, helicopters, and airplanes to Israel.
The British government has announced a partial suspension of arms supplies to Israel, saying that these weapons could be used in serious violations of international humanitarian law.
The announcement comes after the British Foreign Office reviewed arms sales amid concerns about Israel’s war on Hamas in Gaza.
Foreign Secretary David Lemmy told parliament that Britain was immediately suspending 30 of its 350 arms export licenses to Israel because of the risk that the arms would be used in serious violations of international humanitarian law.
He said that the decision to suspend the license is not a complete ban or stopping the supply of weapons, but only those weapons that are likely to be used in Gaza are being banned.
