Rawalpindi: The ISPR Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army has said that Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Ameer and his three relatives who were abducted from Dera Ismail Khan have been released safely and unconditionally.
In a statement, ISPR added that local elders and dignitaries played an important role in his release. The statement further informed that all the hostages had reached home safely.
In Dera Ismail Khan district, armed men abducted four persons, including an army lieutenant colonel and an assistant commissioner.
According to the police report, the abduction incident took place on August 28 in Kalachi police station at around 6 pm on Tuesday.
