PM meets Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence and invites him to walk together again Dawn sources

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in which the overall political situation of the country was discussed.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence where he received a warm welcome on his arrival at his residence.

The Prime Minister inquired about the welfare of Maulana Fazlur Rahman and the Prime Minister presented him with a bouquet.

The Prime Minister expressed his best wishes for Maulana Fazlur Rehman and discussed the political situation of the country in the meeting.

According to the sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif invited the JUI chief to walk together again.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed to Dawn News that Maulana Fazlur Rehman discussed politics and economy, while the two-thirds issue was not discussed.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar.

Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari, Haji Ghulam Ali, Maulana Asad Mehmood, Muhammad Aslam Ghori, Maulana Obaidur Rehman, Maulana Jamaluddin, Mufti Abrar Ahmed and Jalaluddin Advocate were also present in the meeting.

Earlier last week, President Asif Ali Zardari also met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

There was a detailed discussion between the President and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan President Maulana Fazlur Rehman on the current political situation in the country.
