London: 37-year-old Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib-ul-Hasan has been contacted by the British authorities for political asylum and Shakib-ul-Hasan may leave for the UK after completing the cricket test series against Pakistan.
When Dr. Gulfham questioned the British Home Office on the telephone regarding Shakib Al Hasan’s political asylum in the UK, he replied that the Home Office does not comment or issue a statement on any such individual case.
The number one all-rounder has started trying to escape to the UK to avoid arrest. Shakib-ul-Hasan has been spared deportation for playing a vital role in the win against Pakistan and has been allowed to play the final Test.
