LONDON: Britain’s largest doctors’ union has called for a total ban on all vapes to tackle the country’s e-cigarette ‘epidemic’.
The British Medical Association (BMA) has said the government must take bold action to protect children and the environment from the harms of these vapes.
Statistics show that the rate of regular vaping use among children and young people has increased almost sixfold in the past decade.
The BMA report also blames the widespread availability of disposable vapes for medical problems among the teenage population.
The doctors’ union also wants ministers to ban branding on all vapes and their packaging as part of a wider crackdown.
