Given the current situation, the British government has issued special orders under which the prisoners are being kept in the lock-ups of the police stations until they get a place in the jail.

According to the government plan, the government has decided to release 40% of the prisoners serving their sentences to make room in British prisons.
The release of prisoners will start in September and initially, about 5,500 prisoners will be released, prisoners convicted of serious and sexual crimes will not be able to benefit from this discount.
