Salamabad: The biggest robbery of 3 crore rupees in 10 years in the bank of Shehzad Town police station in the federal capital.
According to police sources, the robbers reached the bank located seventeen miles from Jhangi Sayedan in daylight, where the bank vehicle had arrived to receive cash and the cash was being transferred from the bank to the vehicle. The company’s security guard Sulaiman died on the spot while another security guard Tariq was seriously injured and has been shifted to the hospital.
Police sources say that this is the biggest bank robbery in Islamabad in the last ten years. IG Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi has formed various special investigation police teams headed by DIG Islamabad Ali Raza.
