Washington: Facebook founder and Meta Company CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said that senior Joe Biden administration officials pressured him to censor posts and other content related to the coronavirus outbreak during the pandemic.
Facebook founder and owner Zuckerberg said in his August 26 letter to the US House Judiciary Committee that he regrets not speaking up earlier about government pressure and removing content from Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
We were also asked to remove humor and sarcastic posts related to Corona in 2021 and expressed displeasure when we didn’t, Zuckerberg said. I believe the government pressure was wrong.
Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, further wrote in the letter, “I regret that we were not more clear about these government orders, but we have learned from these experiences and now I think we have done that.” Did something that if told today, would not do.
In his letter, Mark Zuckerberg also said that he will not contribute to supporting electoral infrastructure in this year’s presidential elections.
