LONDON:A seminar titled “Promoting Trade, Investment and Tourism in Pakistan” was organized in collaboration with the British Pakistani Mayors Association (BPMA) at the Pakistan High Commission in London.
In the seminar, BPMA Chairman and CBE Mushtaq Lashari, Chairman British Pakistan Foundation and CBE Asif Rangoonwala, Secretary General BPMA Faizullah Khan, Wandsworth Mayor Sana Jaffrey, former mayors and councilors, British A large number of Pakistani businessmen, Pakistani High Commission officials and community members participated.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan’s High Commissioner in the UK, Dr. Muhammad Faisal, said that Pakistanis living in the UK have achieved significant success with their hard work and are playing the role of a bridge between Pakistan and the UK. He said that investment in Pakistani youth is the most important factor in ensuring the prosperous future of Pakistan.
Dr. Muhammad Faisal said that our strength lies in unity and to achieve prominence among nations we need collective effort, strategic planning, and commitment to excellence.
The High Commissioner said that the officers of the Pakistani High Commission and Consulates are working diligently to facilitate the Pakistanis living in the UK. He said that the High Commission is contacting about 400 British Pakistani mayors and councilors to bring them together and discuss ways and means of further strengthening the mutually beneficial relationship between Pakistan and the UK.
The speakers of the seminar emphasized the role of the British Pakistani community in promoting trade, investment, and tourism in Pakistan. He paid tribute to the Pakistanis living in the UK who are rendering valuable services in the fields of business, health, and education. The speakers also emphasized the need for meaningful engagement with British businessmen to showcase Pakistan’s potential in business, tourism, and agriculture.
