Dera Ghazi Khan: IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar visited Dera Ghazi Khan. Arrival at Teaching Hospital. He visited policemen who were injured in the encounter with foreign terrorists in Taunsa Sharif. He paid tribute to the injured personnel for showing bravery.
IG Punjab awarded cash awards to the police personnel who suppressed the terrorists and directed them to provide the best medical facilities to the injured personnel.
The Punjab government has spent Rs 70 crore to strengthen the inter-provincial border posts. The check posts have been equipped with modern weapons including thermal cameras.
