KARACHI: The President of the Central Organization of Trade Unions of Pakistan, Muhammad Kashif Chaudhry, has said that there will be no negotiations with the government and there will be every opportunity for a successful nationwide shutter-down strike on August 28.
While holding a press conference at the Karachi Press Club along with the officials of all trade organizations of Karachi, the President of the Central Association of Trade Unions, Muhammad Kashif Chaudhry, said that the government’s soft consolations and false claims cannot please the businessmen.
He said that the shutter-down strike would be to save the business and economy, and the strike would be successful for the protection of businessmen across the country and the improvement of the economy.
Kashif Chaudhry said that traders are committed to growing the country’s economy and fighting the tyranny of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) until the notification to end the trader-friendly scheme is issued. The strike will not end and negotiations will not be held.
