Snooker Championship: India’s stubbornness, refusal to grant visas to Pakistani players, protest did not work

Hazifa Jamshed Dawn TV + Daily Dawn

ISLAMABAD: India has once again brought politics into the game and denied visas to Pakistani snooker players.

Due to India’s move, three Pakistani wicketkeepers Ahsan Ramzan, Hasnain Akhtar, and Hamza Ilyas missed participation in the World Under-Seventeen and Under-Twenty-One Championship scheduled in Bengaluru.

The Pakistan Snooker Federation has expressed regret over the Indian move.

Pakistan Snooker Association’s protest before the International Snooker Federation on the issue did not work either.

The Snooker Championship is scheduled for today in Bengaluru, India.
