London: The UK has expanded the scope of e-Visa for biometric users.
The UK’s immigration system is going digital, replacing physical documents with online immigration status, biometric residence permits and physical documents such as visa stickers or ‘wet ink stamps’ affixed to passports will no longer be required.
If someone is granted a visa to stay in the UK for more than 6 months, such as for work or study, they now need to create a UKVI online account to receive their e-Visa. This account is linked to the candidate’s immigration status. The line is a record.
If the candidate is granted a visa to stay in the UK for less than 6 months or is a tourist, he/she does not need to create a UKVI account.
In this regard, the British High Commissioner says that we are constantly innovating to make it easier for Pakistanis to travel to the UK. The use of new technology will simplify an important part of the visa process, making it more secure than paper documents. This process is free, safe, and simple.
According to the High Commission, further information, including how to create an account, can be obtained from the website gov. uk/eVisa. Will not have to.
On arrival in the UK, the candidate will still need to obtain a BRP, all BRP cards are valid until 31 December 2024 but the expiry of the candidate’s card will not affect their immigration status.
Candidates can create their UKVI account using their BRP card. Candidates must keep their BRP with them until it expires. When traveling abroad, candidates must keep their BRP and A passport must be taken with them to prove permission to return to the UK.
