The Lahore High Court imposed a fine of 2 lakh rupees on NAB for the unnecessary application related to Parvez Elahi.
A 2-member bench headed by Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh of Lahore High Court dismissed NAB’s application as unnecessary. The court imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh for filing an unnecessary application related to Parvez Elahi.
The court said that NAB’s request is equivalent to wasting court time. NAB had challenged the decision of the accountability court in Lahore High Court regarding providing the record of the NAB inquiry to Parvez Elahi and had taken a stand that according to the NAB rules, the record of the inquiry cannot be provided. The NAB Court had ordered Pervez Elahi to give the record of the inquiry regarding the reference of the development projects.
