London: A fire broke out in Somerset House, a popular tourist destination in central London, which was extinguished by 125 firefighters.
The cause of the fire in the historic cultural center is not yet known, but the building has been evacuated.
Break dancing competitions were due to be held at Somerset House today but all events have been cancelled.
No injuries were reported in the incident, the Met Police said, adding that they were called to a report of the fire just before noon.
15 fire engines were called to douse the blaze at Somerset House, with roads around the tourist site closed to traffic.
Emergency services instructed citizens to keep windows and doors closed and not to travel unnecessarily.
