Sahiwal: WAPDA officers show kindness to agriculture department officer. An FIR was filed by putting a bill of 9000 rupees for the theft of more than 1100 units, while a bill of more than Rs.13000 was sent to domestic consumers for 300 units. The deputy manager had installed direct locks and the Mapco team raided and caught stealing electricity. A case number 1836/24 was registered against the Deputy Manager Seed Corporation in Ghala Mandi police station. It is clear in the FI that the loss of Mapco was 1161 units while the amount was Rs.9 thousand. It was learned from reliable sources that a deal was struck between the accused and Mapco officials before the case was registered. A discount package was provided to the agriculture officer, a clear example of which is that the price of 1161 units was written at Rs.9 thousand and the electricity meter was not even disconnected.
