Rawalpindi: The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Faiz Hameed was an asset of the country that was wasted. So what, hold everyone accountable?
The PTI founder expressed these views while speaking informally to journalists on the sidelines of the 190 million pound reference hearing against him and his wife Bushra Bibi in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi.
Imran Khan claimed during the conversation that former Army Chief General (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa, on the request of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, gave the former Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt Gen Retd Faiz Hameed. Removed from the post, on which I had a bitter conversation with my former army chief.
Before the discussion, the staff of Adiala Jail tried to stop Imran Khan from talking to the media, which led to a bitter exchange between the Deputy Superintendent of Jail and the former Prime Minister.
Imran Khan said don’t stop me, this is an open court, let me talk to the media.
Imran Khan said that the army is investigating General (retd) Faiz Hameed, this is their internal matter, what do I have to do with it, they are holding the former DGISI accountable, it is a good thing, but then it is everyone’s accountability.
