PARIS: Two Rafale jets taking off from the Saint-Dizier military base in France collided mid-air during a routine training flight, resulting in a fire on the planes.
A spokesman for the French military said the two pilots, identified as Captain Sebastien Mabire and Lieutenant Mathis Lawrence, died on the spot when the planes collided.
A co-pilot was rescued in the Rafale plane crash and is being treated at a military hospital. His condition is now reported to be out of danger.
