Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari approved civil awards for 104 Pakistani and foreign personalities in recognition of services for Pakistan on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day
Civil awards will be conferred on all individuals at a ceremony on March 23, 2025. The awards will be given in the fields of science, engineering, education, medicine, arts, literature, sports, social services, philanthropy, entrepreneurship, taxpayers and exporters, public services, bravery, and services.
Former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed will be conferred with the Nishan-e-Pakistan Award in recognition of his outstanding services in the field of public service.
In the field of sports, Arshad Nadeem will be awarded Hilal Imtiaz and Murad Sadpara, Star of Distinction, while in the field of literature, Nasir Kazmi will be given the posthumous Nishan-i-Imtiaz award.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud will be awarded the Hilal Pakistan Award in recognition of his services to Pakistan.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon will also be honored with a Civil Award Satara Imtiaz for his meritorious services. Irfan Nawaz Memon was nominated for playing an important role in the development of the country as a bureaucrat.
