New Delhi: The 77th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence was celebrated with national enthusiasm at the High Commission for Pakistan, New Delhi.
In the ceremony, the Governor of Pakistan, Saad Ahmed Waraich, hoisted the national flag at the chancery lawn of the High Commission. On this occasion, the officers and staff of the High Commission and their families were present. On this occasion, the messages of the President and Prime Minister were read out.

He said that Pakistan was founded on the principles of democracy, social equality, and tolerance, and the nation is steadfast in its determination to achieve the ideal of an Islamic welfare state as envisioned by our forefathers.
Expressing Pakistan’s complete solidarity with Muslim brothers and sisters under oppression and occupation, Nazim-ul-Amour expressed his firm belief that this heroic struggle for fundamental rights, including the right to self-determination, will be crowned with glory. The goal of sustainable peace and stability in South Asia depends on a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir conflict by the UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
He also appreciated the historic performance of Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem, who made the entire nation proud by winning the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. His remarkable achievement in defeating the odds is a shining example that strong determination, total dedication, and sincere hard work can scale mountains and lead to great success.
The children of the members of the Pakistan High Commission presented national anthems and delivered speeches, highlighting the historical struggle for the establishment of Pakistan. A special cake was also cut on the occasion.
