Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari approved civil awards for 104 Pakistani and foreign personalities in recognition of services for Pakistan on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day.
Civil awards will be conferred on all individuals at a ceremony on March 23, 2025. The awards will be given in the fields of science, engineering, education, medicine, arts, literature, sports, social services, philanthropy, entrepreneurship, taxpayers and exporters, public services, bravery, and services.
Bakhtiar Khattak (Singing) and Syed Jawad Hussain Jafari (Literature) will be awarded the Tagha Imtiaz.
Nishan Imtiaz has been announced for the famous Urdu ghazal poet Nasir Kazmi for his poetic services.
Hilal Imtiaz was announced for Javed Jabbar in the field of literature while Salma Awan (Literature), Maniza Shamsi (Literature), and Zafar Waqar Taj (Poetry) will be given Star Imtiaz.
The names of Fariha Parvez, Hamid Rana, Sheba Arshad, Naveed Ahmed Bhatti, and Anbrin Haseeb (Literature) have been announced for the President’s Pride of Performance.
