Sahiwal: Sahiwal Punjab Food Authority raided a factory producing sub-standard juice on the indication of residents. An FIR was lodged against the owner Usmanul Haq and hundreds of bottles of juice and packets were seized. While operating the juice plant at 144 Nain L Naiwala Bangla, the food safety team seized 300 liters of mango fruit drinks, 100 liters of mango pulp, and 700 empty bottles. were confiscated.
An FIR has been registered against the food business owners, fake fruit drinks were being manufactured in the name of well-known brands in the closed factory of the juice plant. During the test, artificial sweeteners were found in the fruit drinks. The juice plant was closed after exporting substandard and fake drinks. Local people say that this operation should have been done earlier.
