Lahore: For Arshad Nadeem, who won the gold medal in the Olympics, where prizes worth crores of rupees are being announced from all over Pakistan, his father-in-law has also gifted him a buffalo.
When Arshad Nadeem’s father-in-law Muhammad Nawaz was asked about this unique gift, he said that a buffalo as a gift is considered ‘very valuable’ and ‘respectable’ in his rural community.
Mohammad Nawaz said that he gave the buffaloes because of the traditions of his community and Nadeem’s deep connection with the village.
Arshad Nadeem lives with his parents and brothers in Khanewal district of Punjab.
Muhammad Nawaz’s daughter Ayesha is married to Arshad Nadeem and has two sons and a daughter.
