London: Pakistani-origin London Mayor Sadiq Khan said, “My daughters and Muslim girls of their age are scared because of the riots and demonstrations by far-right extremists.”
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan expressed concern over the recent ethnic riots and said that immigrants and especially Muslims were targeted in riots and demonstrations for 10 days.
Sadiq Khan added that I am sad because my daughters’ generation is feeling fear in Britain. I am not safe either. I am under police security all the time.
Mayor Sadiq Khan said that since becoming the mayor in 2016, I have been threatened till now. A team of 15 police officers protect me and my family.
It should be noted that 53-year-old Sadia Ahmed, the wife of Pakistani-origin Sadiq Khan, and her two daughters Anisa and Amara were also harassed several times on social media.
