Islamabad: It has been revealed that more than 200 employees have been recruited on recommendation in the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIED) in the federal capital, on which the Senate Standing Committee has asked for details.
In the meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Planning, Vice Chancellor Pied Dr. Nadeemul Haque revealed that more than 200 lower-level staff have been recruited on recommendation while there are 50 researchers, out of which only 10 researchers are working.
Dr. Nadeemul Haque said that these recruitments have not been done yet but there are already recruited people who were brought on recommendation.
He told the Senate committee that we do not have our building, due to which Quaid-e-Azam is in the university building.
The Senate Standing Committee on Planning asked for details regarding paid employees within two weeks after Dr. Nadeemul Haque’s briefing.
