Islamabad: The Election Commission has announced that local body elections in Islamabad will be held on September 29.
According to the schedule, nomination papers for local body elections will be collected from the 16th to the 20th of August, scrutiny of candidate papers will be from the 22nd to the 26th of August, and election symbols will be allotted to the candidates on the 6th of September.
According to the Election Commission, the Election Commission also banned announcements, appointments, and transfers of development schemes in Islamabad.
