More than 10 lakh people could not get their passports despite submitting the passport fees

LAHORE: The passport crisis in the country has not been resolved yet, due to which the citizens are still deprived of their passports despite hanging on the waiting list for many months.
A passport becomes a dream for those who apply by paying the normal fee in the country. Even after waiting for 3, or 4 months, the citizens have not been able to get their passports, as a result of which someone has lost a job abroad, and someone could not get admission even after paying huge fees. On the other hand, despite the seriousness of the crisis, it has not come to the attention of the Passport and Immigration Department.
The Passport and Immigration Department is not issuing passports on time even after charging hundreds of millions of rupees, even after waiting for many months, while the citizens have been forced to be humiliated. According to passport sources, there are more than 1 million people across the country, including Lahore, who have submitted the fee for obtaining a passport, but they could not get the passport.
