Dhaka: During the ongoing anti-government protests and violent incidents in Bangladesh, the bodies of more than 29 people associated with Sheikh Hasina Wajid’s political party Awami League have been found.
According to the local newspaper of Bangladesh, more than 29 dead bodies include Awami League leaders and their family members and it is being reported that these bodies were found after Sheikh Hasina Wajid left the country.
On the other hand, the Bangladeshi newspaper claims that the homes and business centers of people associated with the Awami League were vandalized and looted.
It should be remembered that there were protests for several days last month against the 30% quota in government jobs for the children of the 1971 warfighters in Bangladesh, in which 200 people were killed, after which the Supreme Court abolished the quota system. But the students called on their colleagues to continue protesting and civil disobedience until justice is served.
The total death toll in violent protests in Bangladesh since the announcement of a civil disobedience movement by anti-quota system students has exceeded 450.
