Paris/Washington: Hasina Wajid’s resignation was celebrated in Paris. Bangladeshi citizens took to the streets with their national flag and celebrated.
Ministers and diplomats of Sheikh Hasina Wajid’s government, which ended as a result of the student movement in Bangladesh, are facing severe public protests at home and abroad.
The anti-government protests in Bangladesh have not stopped even after the resignation of Sheikh Hasina Wajid. Citizens’ anger can also be seen abroad.
Citizens of Bangladeshi origin gathered in large numbers in front of the Bangladesh Consulate in New York and raised slogans against the Hasina Wajid government. The protesters also had a bitter exchange with the consulate staff.
After this the protesters entered the consulate, vandalized and pulled down pictures of Sheikh Hasina Wajid and her father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On this occasion, the protesters did not listen to the staff of the consulate.
