Ismail Haniyeh was the head of the political wing of Hamas, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has also confirmed his martyrdom.

Ismail Haniyeh was born in 1962 in the Shatti refugee camp west of Gaza City. Many members of Ismail Haniyeh’s family were martyred during the Gaza war.
