Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court has issued notices to the Home Secretary, Chief Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and IG for not allowing PTI to protest.
Despite the court order, PTI received a contempt of court plea for not deciding on the petition for permission to protest.
Justice Thaman Rifat Imtiaz removed the objections to PTI’s application and issued notices.
PTI’s lawyer Shoaib Shaheen said that we were not allowed to protest in Islamabad yesterday, we received the DC’s order yesterday after filing the contempt of court petition, after the Deputy Commissioner filed the petition, our petition was rejected. Rejection order sent.
The court issued a notice and adjourned the hearing of the case till tomorrow.
