London: Anjum Chaudhry of Pakistani origin has been sentenced to life imprisonment on charges of terrorism

Earlier in 2016, Anjum Chaudhry was sentenced to 5 and a half years in prison for supporting ISIS

London: 57-year-old Pakistani-born Anjum Chaudhry, the leader of the Al-Mahajroon party in Britain, has been sentenced to life imprisonment on charges of terrorism.

The man of Pakistani origin was detained in July last year. Under this sentence, 57-year-old Anjum Chaudhry can now be released on parole only after reaching the age of 85.

Anjum Chaudhry is alleged to have headed the extremist organization Al-Mahajroon, during which he had repeatedly ordered his operatives to commit acts of terrorism since 2014.

Recall that earlier in 2016, Anjum Chaudhry was sentenced for supporting ISIS and he was released in 2018 after serving half of his five-and-a-half-year sentence.

Anjum Chaudhry is Britain’s most high-profile Islamist preacher He once praised those responsible for the September 11, 2001 attacks on America and even expressed his intention to turn Buckingham Palace into a mosque.

Along with Anjum Chaudhry, 29-year-old Canadian citizen Khalid Hussain was also sentenced to 5 years in prison for working for a banned organization. Khalid Hussain was arrested at Heathrow Airport in mid-2023.
