London: There are more than 29,000 Pakistani prisoners in 87 countries around the world, of which 6,550 are accused, while 22,500 are prisoners who are serving sentences for various crimes.
According to the data, among Pakistanis imprisoned in 93 cities of 87 countries of the world, 44 Pakistanis are imprisoned in the American city of Washington, while there are 10 accused and 16 prisoners in Houston.
There are 330 Pakistani prisoners in the British city of Manchester, where about 1.8 million Pakistanis live. There are 24,000 Pakistanis living in Frankfurt and 78 Pakistanis are in prison while 16 are facing different types of cases.
There are 260,000 Pakistanis in the Spanish city of Madrid, of which 80 are prisoners while cases against 26 are pending.
In Rome, Italy, the population of Pakistanis is three lakh, but there are 130 Pakistani prisoners while 200 are under custody in different cases. 615 Pakistanis are imprisoned in Greece while 196 are facing various cases.
In Asian countries, 214 Pakistanis are under detention in the Indian city of New Delhi, while 58 have been sentenced by the courts and imprisoned in jails.
Only 8 Pakistanis and 6 are in custody in Kandahar, Afghanistan. There are 166,000 Pakistanis living in Kuala Lumpur, of which 155 are prisoners and 100 are under detention.
In Ankara, 147 Pakistanis are in prison after being sentenced by the courts, while 161 are in the custody of the police and other institutions in various cases.
