In the final match played in Dambulla, the Indian team scored 165 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and Sri Lanka had set a target of 166 runs to win.
Sri Lanka achieved the target of 166 runs given by India in 18.4 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Sri Lankan batsmen Harshita Samrukarma remained unbeaten with 69 runs and Kavisha Dilhari with 30 runs.
Captain Chamari Athapatthu played a brilliant innings of 63 runs, Deepti Sharma took one wicket for India.
India won the toss and batted first and scored 165 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.
Smriti Mandhana 60, Richa Ghosh 30 and Jemima Rodrigues 29 were the leading scorers for India.
For Sri Lanka, Kavisha Dilhari took 2 wickets, Chamari Athaptu, Sachini Nisansala and Adishika Prabodhani took one wicket each.
Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan Women’s team in the semi-final and qualified for the final.
