Washington: In the US Senate, the Republican Party presented a bill against Pakistan and China.
The anti-Pakistan and China Bill was presented by Senator Marco Rubio of the Republican Party. The pro-India bill says that if there is any evidence of Pakistan’s involvement in any activity against India, Pakistan’s aid should be stopped and the Congress should be informed in this regard.
The bill further states that the US should treat India like Israel, Korea, Japan and NATO allies. The bill also proposes that India be given a limited exemption from the stricter sanctions law. According to the US law, strict sanctions will be imposed on countries that buy weapons from Russia.
If the US Senate approves the bill, India will be able to purchase arms from Russia. Indian Army is still using Russian weapons and America has not imposed any sanctions on India.
